News: The Krane Participates in ON THE BOARDS -- An Alternative Theatre Festival KRANE CALL TO WRITERS: To be clear: We want submissions of pieces 20 minutes or less. These can be anything that lend themselves to performance, whether that's a choreographed dance (you can send videos for things like this) or a traditional script. We don't want to limit form, although we would like some of the pieces to be traditional theatre (aka: dialogue driven work in play format). What we are looking for is work that represents a post 9/11 world. We are NOT looking for work on the particular event. In fact, we'd like the event not to be mentioned in any of the pieces. We will eliminate any work that includes words like: 9/11; World Trade Center; Trade Center Disaster, September 11, etc...What we want is to ask writers from around the world to submit pieces that are influenced by the event but that do not contain the event itself in them. These are pieces about the issues that exist in a POST 9/11 world, issues we are living with to this day, however personal or global. Submissions are due November 1, 2010.
